For a single black mana, you get a 2/1 body that you can cast from your graveyard over and over again so long as you have the mana to do so (and you control another Zombie)
A few auras or equipment can get your bulked up creature to 10+ power, then add in a Violent Urge and you can send an opponent packing if they're foolish enough to not assign any blockers

equip 1 appropriate, banished Union monster to 1 monster you control as an Equip Spell, as if it were equipped by that Union monster's effect, and if you do, Special Summon this card from your hand
Most decks in these archetypes have worked fairly similarly so I could write about them as a group, but Modern's Ramp decks are not exactly traditional and are wildly different from each other
