A 19th century terracotta bojito from the eastern Spanish region of Catalonia

The botijo

This vessel has been used to its very core and some would say past the point of repair

many Bantu stools can be recorded as having been used for milking cows or goats

This vintage ceramic pot is made of a taupe coloured glazed clay with rounded shoulders and a gentle tulip lip for a soft finish on this otherwise robust looking vessel

MEDITERRANEAN TURQUOISE GLAZED VESSEL A 19th century terracotta bojitoDating back to the late 19th or early 20th century, this Mediterranean terracotta vessel would have been used to store olive oil. This particular vessel had been painted with a turquoise glaze on its neck and rim and lined in its interior, with a layer of resin to prevent the oil from seeping into the terracotta.
