Response / Resurgence Response is a good rate for damage to a creature, but the big-time reason to play this card is Resurgence which is nearly Boros-speak for extra turn

For those of you not in the know, not only will it keep you alive at least temporality, but also has the same ability as a Black Lotus (as long as you have a creature)

This makes them especially rare, as they were exclusive to the now outdated Heart Gold and Soul Silver sets, and since they were comprised of two ultra rare cards, you really had to work to find them both
